Ms. Stroup counsels foreign and domestic clients in both patent and trademark matters. With regard to patents, Ms. Stroup has experience assisting clients in filing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, including household appliances and other mechanical devices, food compositions, chemical compositions, materials, and medical devices. Ms. Stroup also has experience practicing before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and has participated in patent litigation matters before the Northern District of Texas.
With respect to trademark matters, Ms. Stroup files and prosecutes trademark applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and assists in the filing and prosecution of applications abroad. Ms. Stroup also has experience before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Stroup was the Patent Research Manager for six years at a local intellectual property boutique firm in the Washington, D.C. area, where she supervised and trained researchers, and performed patentability and infringement searches.
